Toshiba Qosmio X500 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1GB Graphics Notebook

Toshiba has announced the Qosmio X500, their 18.4-inch Full HD desktop-replacement laptop packing a 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1GB graphics 250MNV. Set to arrive by the end of October, the Qosmio X500 squeezes in a Blu-ray burner, up to 8 GB DDR3 memory, two 500GB 5400 rpm hard drives and WiFi b / g / n.

There is also Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, three USB 2.0 ports (each with bedroom and tax that your peripherals rejuices even when the X500 is off) and a combo USB 2.0 & eSATA port. As expected there is an HDMI output, but you can be satisfied with 1920 x 1080 16:9 of the X500’s TruBrite display and Harman Kardon stereo speakers, the notebook can also upscale standard-definition content such as DVDs.

All in all, the perfect machine for HD entertainment and gaming, but perhaps more than you usually want to lug your backpack. No word on pricing for the new Qosmio, but we recommend the spec sheet that it is not cheap. [ubergizmo]
