Nokia Maps Ovi Software for GPS Navigation

Nokia has recently announced the release of its latest version of its Maps Ovi software used in more than 40 of its GPS-enabled handsets. Now available for download, Ovi Maps 3.0 has a number of improvements, including high-resolution satellite and terrain maps in both 2D and 3D, but 3D landmarks for more than 200 major cities.

This allows users to view points of reference with virtual fly-over, fly-throughs, in a night view and rotate and tilt the view. There is also a new method for navigation on foot to foot, while the Drive mode provides speed limit, the position of speed cameras, real-time traffic and lane assistance.

There are new points of interest and additional information on them by Lonely Planet, Michelin and Wcities. Once the service is also integrated to provide users with 24 hours to five days and the forecast for a particular position.

Via Ovi Maps on the Web, users can pre-arrange their trip on their computers at home, except in favorites or organize them into collections, and then synchronize over-the-air with their most recent main Nokia S40 and Symbian S60 phones.
