Nokia Initiate AChargers Models Exchange Program
Nokia launched a charger exchange, where consumers hold some Nokia branded chargers manufactured by third party supplier is recommended that these trucks for free replacement switch.
During a routine quality control, product quality Nokia identified a potential problem with certain chargers manufactured by a third of its suppliers. The plastic covers of the affected chargers could come loose and separate, exposing internal components of the charger and potentially setting an electric shock if some internal components are touched while the charger is connected to a live connection.Nokia is not aware of any incidents or injuries associated with these chargers.

Only a limited number of certain types of chargers models by third party supplier manufactured during a certain period within the scope of the exchange. They are AC 3E and AC 3U models produced between June 15, 2009 and August 9,2009,and the AC 4U model, manufactured between April 13,2009 and October 25,2009.

For more information, including how consumers can check whether their chargers are part of this exchange, Nokia has created a website. Consumers are asked to visit http://chargerexchange.nokia.com or their local Nokia website.

Nokia recommends that consumers with chargers within the scope of this exchange program to stop using the charger and swapping for a free replacement.[via hitechreview]
