Toshiba continues to improve its Satellite series notebooks, and the Satellite M645-S4045 laptop continues the trend. Toshiba announced in Europe ALU2 drive new series of external hard drive STOR.E. The new series comes in two versions, 2.5 inch versions with capacities up to 640GB 3.5 inch version and up to 2TB.

The ALU2 STOR.E using a USB 2.0 interface. Version 2.5 inch portable is designed for users who need a storage device on the road and at home while 3.5 inch model with a 24 Watt power supply 12V/2A designed to be used to stay home or at work.[via itechnews]

Toshiba plans Tegra powered netbook, called the 114-AC100. Devices running the Android 2.1. This is driven by NVIDIA Tegra processors T20, 512MB RAM and 16GB SSD. Android netbook has a 1024 × 600 SVGA display 10.1 inch LED backlit and HDMI and VGA video output. Thanks to the Tegra processors, netbook capable of HD 1080p video playback.

AC100-114 Toshiba also get bulilt-in WiFi connectivity, Ethernet, 2-in-1 card reader and 1.3 megapixel webcam.[via itechnews]
