Canon announced the Canon and XF300 XF305 professional camcorders. Both Canon Canon digital camcorder employs MPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps codec – Codec Canon XF – to capture and record the original 1920 x 1080 video to a CompactFlash [CF] card. Integrate video, audio, and metadata into a single file, Canon and XF300 XF305 using MXF [Material eXchange Format] File Wrapper, spacious open-source formats are supported, to maximize compatibility with existing industry infrastructure and non-linear editing [NLE] systems.

The Micro Four Thirds [MFT] standards that have other devices that support, as Panasonic has launched the first camcorder MFT, Attorney General-AF100. Camcorder using an SLR-sized sensor to shoot 1080p video with the same depth of field and wide angle as you would do with a 35mm film camera, but in a package that is physically much smaller.

Sanyo has launched two new 1080p Full HD Xacti camcorder, the DMX-CG100/VPC-CG100 with vertical and horizontal form factor DMX-GH1/VPC-GH1, either with a slim compact design. The CG100 and GH1 is equipped with a 14.4 Megapixel image sensor to record Full HD 1920 × 1080 60i video and still images 14 Mpix.

Canon VIXIA HF launches new M-series camcorders, the M31, M30 and M300. All these uses cookies flash memory for storage, as the three new S-HF series camcorders, but has a more stylish, compact and lightweight body.

All VIXIA camcorders feature three 1080p Full HD video recording, DIGIC DV III Image Processor, a 15x zoom lens Canon HD video and 2.7 inch touchscreen. These include Track & Touch technology, Smart Car, Powered IS and Advanced Video instant. The M31 and M30 Relay also offers recording and HD to SD Downconversion.

Sony introduced two new Bloggie portable camcorders, the MHS-MHS-CM5 and not PM5 both 1920 × 1080 Full HD video recording and 5 megapixel still image capture. MHS-CM5 which features a pistol-grip design comfortable vertical shooting. It sports 5x optical zoom and a flip out 2.5 inch LCD display and HDMI output.

Besides NXCAM HXR-NX5U for professionals, presenting Sony Handycam HDR-AX2000 AVCHD camcorder to prosumers. The device uses three 1/3-inch Exmor CMOS sensor with Exmor derived technology. It records 1920 × 1080/60i HD video up to 24Mbps with progressive scan at 1080/24p and 30p.

Handycam HDR-AX200 got 29.5mm Wide Angle to G-590mm telephoto Lens with 20x zoom and 3.2 inch LCD screen and 0.45 inch electronic viewfinder, just like HXR-NX5U. SteadyShot optical image stabilization with Active Mode is also included.
