Lenovo ThinkPad X61 Ultra Notebook

Lenovo ThinkPad X61 Ultra Notebook with the new 45 nanometer Intel Core 2 Duo, named Penryn, will be available from this month, according to an announcement of Lenovo. The Thinkpad X61 cooled by 12-inch laptop will be available with the Core 2 Duo T8100 and T8300 Penryn 2.1GHz to 2.4 GHz with 3 MB of L2 cache.

Its supported by 1 GB of system memory and a 120GB hard drive and the offering price is US$ 1,549.99, while the same laptop with the T8300, 1 GB of RAM and a hard disk 160 GB is US$ 1,609.99.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X61 has a 12.1 inch display with 1024 x 768 resolution, Intel GMA X3100 integrated graphics, support for 802.11a/b/g/draft n wireless network, and Gigabit Ethernet LAN. In some models, there is a form broadband wireless, Bluetooth and a fingerprint reader. These laptops are three USB ports, a PC Card slot, Secure Digital Card, FireWire and a VGA output.

The optical drive is sold separately through the ThinkPad X6 UltraBase Dock. With regard to operating systems, there are Windows Vista and Windows XP Professional choice. Currently, it is unclear if and when the manufacturer of your PC is about to release the Tablet PC version of the ThinkPad X61 notebook with the 45nm Core 2 Duo chip.
