Getac Rugged V100 Multi Touch Screen Tablet PC

Getac Rugged computer manufacturer today unveiled its latest hard tablet computer in the form Getac V100. Tablet PC contains resistive multitouch screen, which means that users can use the touch screen with gloves, unlike devices like the iPhone that use capacitive touch screen. This makes it ideal for industrial and field specialists who work with hazardous chemicals or perform their work in extreme weather conditions.

Even with gloves, sensitivity and accuracy of multi-touch screen is extremely high. Appearance of the display 2048 × 2048 resolution, 100 points per second report rate and less than 35ms response time. Getac Multi-Touch technology will also offer complete compatibility with Microsoft’s Windows 7 Getac V100 Tablet PC will be released later in the month. No word on pricing so far. [via geeky-gadgets]
