Asus Eee PC S101 Netbook

Asus Eee PC S101, the most chatted NETBOOK series Eee, no secret: today were proved its technical specifications, colors and prices in Europe. Though originally incasellato some sources had Asus S101 in a different category from that of NETBOOK Eee PC, we note with pleasure that the mininotebook proudly boasts the logo on its Eee PC chassis.

Browse the list of characteristics, we observe that Eee PC S101 incorporates an Intel Atom N270 at 1.6GHz, 1GB of DDR2 memory at 667MHz and a 16GB hard disk.

The graphics chip integrated GMA 950 controls a 10.2-inch screen WSVGA, with resolution of 1024 x 600 and Backlit LED technology, on top of which stands a 0.3 megapixel camera with microphone. The budget includes an SDHC card reader and interfaces n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, VGA, audio jack, Ethernet and 3 USB 2.0. S101 has a weight of 1.45 kg with a 4-cell battery that gives autonomy announced between 3:30 and 5 hours with Windows XP Home. Of course it will be distributed in keeping with neoprene, but also by a 16GB SDHC card, which will offer a total storage space of 32GB.

With dimensions of 266mm x 191mm x 20-38mm, S101 has a similar footprint all’Asus Eee PC 1000H, which we recently reviewed. The NETBOOK Asus Eee PC S101 will be proposed shortly in Italy in the colors Champagne, Chocolate (Brown) and Graphite (Black) with a recommended retail price of 599 euros. This is of course a fairly high cost, justified understated design and care of finishing this laptop. For this price would have appreciated a webcam and an LCD screen larger.
